HOLIDAY OVERVIEW
This magnificent but challenging, 132 miles (212km) circular route takes in wild moors, gentle valley bottoms, rushing rivers and picture postcard villages which charactarise the Yorkshire Dales.
The route is designed to be started and finished in Skipton , however it can be started at any point if preferred.
Designed to take you through some of the “Best of the Dales” the route can be challenging at times with some trademark steep climbs
Cycle Route Highlights
Outstanding scenery – Beautiful views, typical of the Yorkshire Dales National Park s around every turn including Wharfedale, Cravendale, Wensleydale and Swaledale, as well as Malham Gorge, Gordale Scar and Ingleton Waterfall
Cultural heritage – Skipton Castle, Skipton Ship Canal, Wensleydale Cheese & Creamery (Wallace & Grommit fame), The Dales Countriside Museum, The Swaledale Museum and Bolton Castle
Sense of achievement – as you circle the Yorkshire Dales National Park under your own steam, this is a great but challenging ride.
